Matthias Kreye is Managing Director of Deutsche Invest Mittelstand (DIM). In this role, Matthias Kreye leads the operational team of experts within DIM and is responsible for the implementation of value creation programs in the portfolio companies. In addition, he acts as interim and restructuring CEO in selected portfolio companies and proactively manages their change management programs.

Prior to joining DIM, Matthias Kreye worked for various Munich-based investors, for whom he managed portfolio companies in special situations in various roles both nationally and internationally. These included restructuring programs as CRO, as well as overall and partial responsibility as CEO, CSO and COO. Prior to this, Matthias Kreye was a senior consultant at Porsche Consulting GmbH. He took his first professional steps as a commissioning engineer at ThyssenKrupp, where he worked in plant engineering and for the Transrapid maglev train.

Matthias Kreye studied industrial engineering at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and holds an MBA from the University of St Gallen.
